Shipcom has partnered with HISD by implementing improved automation for warehouse and transportation staff through mobile computing. We have implemented a robust technology platform, Catamaran® 14NG (Next Generation), that enables HISD to rapidly deploy mobility solutions seamlessly integrating with HISD’s corporate system - SAP.  Additionally, Shipcom has supported HISD’s efforts to maintain and enhance warehouse labels and mobile label printing for outbound deliveries. Warehouse Management System in HISD

HISD uses SAP WM module to manage its Nutrition Services warehouse. The warehouse stores raw materials and finished goods from vendors and production goods from the Production area and then delivers them to ~280 schools around Houston. Catamaran supports various processes ranging from Goods Receipt and Putaway to Replenishment and Order Fulfillment. There are ~20 concurrent users using the application in variety of form factors such as handheld, desktop and VMUs (Vehicle Mounted Units) running on both Android and Windows 10 OS. With the use of Catamaran at the edge, all warehouse transactions are completed in real-time in a fully paperless and seamless process on the warehouse floor.

Shipcom was selected by FEMA to support the housing and life support needs of FEMA responders in the 48 Continental States by establishing camps and support services expeditiously (24-72 hours).  Additionally,   Shipcom brings mission critical real-time asset tracking, logistics execution (LES) and intra-contractor systems communication integration using our Catamaran NextGen software platform. Material tracking in industrial environments – like distribution centers, outdoor laydown yards, and manufacturing shops or warehouses – is a challenging proposition. The US Border Patrol (USBP) has a requirement for an end‐to‐end capability for cyber‐security solution(s) to address system vulnerabilities in order to protect DHS Southern border surveillance systems. These systems include the Integrated Fixed Tower (IFT) system, Remote Video Surveillance Systems (RVSS) and future fully integrated IFT/RVSS systems. Team Shipcom is providing a prototype using cutting edge technology to protect both information technology (IT) and operational technology (OT) assets which will address system vulnerabilities to meet security requirements for system accreditation with an Authority to Operate (ATO) 2,3 lines highlight summary (what they do and how they benefit from us).

The IFT system consists of ground surveillance radars and day/night surveillance cameras mounted on fixed towers. The RVSS includes multiple color and infrared cameras mounted on monopoles, lattice towers, and buildings and differs from the IFT in, among other things, the RVSS does not include radars. Team Shipcom will provided end‐to‐end capability for cyber‐security solution(s) to address system vulnerabilities.
