Shipcom Appoints AutoID Industry Veteran to Augment Its Sales Team

Shipcom, a leading provider of integrated supply chain RFID applications has announced that Gene Harmegnies has joined
the company as Director of Sales.  The appointment of Mr. Harmegnies, a successful and respected technology industry veteran, is a significant addition to the already experienced RFID team at Shipcom, which will complete its 32nd RFID deployment this month.

"Gene is the ideal person to drive Shipcom's RFID business to exciting new phase of growth and profitability.  He brings a rare mix of understanding of technology, software, solutions, integration, and services," said Abeezar Tyebji, CEO of Shipcom.
 Mr. Harmegnies brings a wealth of experience in executive sales, systems and service management positions within the automated data collection market and technology industry.  Prior to Shipcom, Mr. Harmegnies spent two years as Vice President of the 'Global Systems & Solutions' division for Telxon Corp. where he drove profitable revenue growth within the 175 person division and formed strategic alliances with Fortune 100 companies to establish Telxon as global ADC systems integrator for wireless mobility.  Mr. Harmegnies was with Intermec Technologies from 1985 to 1999 operating in numerous leadership positions including Director of Worldwide Support Services, responsible for profitable growth of Intermec's global service business including sales, marketing and service operations.  He managed a global team of 525 people. Mr. Harmegnies was with Storagetek from 1979 to 1985.  He holds and MBA from Seattle University and BA from Northwest Missouri State University
