Shipcom's RFID services enable the collection and filtering of data
from several types and brands of readers, both HF and UHF, and support
multiple protocols. The data captured at the edge of the network
is routed to the CATAMARAN engine for further processing and then
routed to the appropriate enterprise system based on the business
or transaction workflow. Alerts based on stack lights, SMS, email
or audible sounds can be used to signal exceptions or successful
events. Shipcom's mobility s ervices enable the delivery of data
from the enterprise systems to a variety of mobile devices over
any wireless network including CDMA, GSM, and WLAN. CATAMARAN uses
SSL encryption to maintain end-to-end security of the wireless sessions
and also manages the sessions to enable customers to reconnect and
continue a transaction if they lose network connectivity. |
