Releases Version 9.0 of Its Software Platform With Gen 2 RFID Support

HOUSTON , May 2 /PRNewswire/ -- Shipcom, a leading global provider of RFID and Mobility solutions announces the launch of Version 9.0 of its CATAMARAN software. The Version 9 release is the result of an 18-month project involving more than 100 man months of effort. Several customers have already installed Version 9.0 in mission critical applications.

Shipcom 's Chief Architect Mustafa Dohadwala explains that, "Version 9 has been engineered to provide a highly scalable architecture and companies can now deploy and manage distributed solutions involving various scenarios to intelligently process / route massive volume of RFID related data via automated operations. It also protects investments made by our existing customers in earlier CATAMARAN versions by offering Gen 2 support on readers from manufacturers like Alien, AWID, and Symbol."
