CATAMARAN® is a Proven Framework for Rapid Deployment for Supply Chain, RFID, & Mobility Solutions.
Shipcom's proven supply chain execution platform, CATAMARAN, was initially released in 2001. It is a server-based solution that captures, filters, aggregates, transforms, and routes data from multiple devices such
as RFID readers and barcode scanners and integrates it directly
with enterprise systems such as Oracle, Provia, SAP, QAD, and various
legacy systems. The Company's software solution also includes reusable
application libraries and more than 100 user-friendly development
tools, developed from eight years of supply chain experience, that
enable customers to easily and quickly configure the CATAMARAN platform
to their specific needs, which is especially important in the rapidly
evolving RFID market
Leveraging the CATAMARAN platform, Shipcom offers a robust RFID
solution that includes an enterprise RFID server, an RFID edge server,
EPC compliance packages, and RFID tag testing services. Shipcom's
RFID solution enables the commissioning of EPC or ISO RFID tags,
printing and programming of EPC labels, management of RFID devices,
and configuration of business rules and workflows. CATAMARAN also
remotely monitors RFID and barcode tags and generates reports from
relational databases via standard reporting mechanisms in order
to audit and record the RFID tag reads, time and date stamps, and
locations.
