Product Manager
The Product Manager is charged with Shipcom's CATAMARAN line of products. This extends from increasing the profitability of our existing CATAMARAN platform to defining new vertical CATAMARAN based solutions. The Product Manager will define products from existing ideas, and help to develop new ideas based on his RFID, ADC and Mobility industry experience and your contacts with customers and prospects.

The Product Manager must be able to work closely with all areas of the company, like Product Development, Operations, Sales and Marketing. He will work with marketing to define the go-to-market strategy, helping them understand the product positioning, key benefits, and target customers. He will also serve as the internal and external evangelist for your product offering, also working with the sales channel and key customers.

The Product Manager must be well versed and experienced with RFID, ADC, and Mobility Enterprise systems solutions.

Specific key responsibilities

• Own the consolidated roadmap of future functionality and release schedules for Shipcom's flagship product CATAMARAN as well as for a suite of market specific verticals based on CATAMARAN.
• Own the CATAMARAN line of Product's Functional documentation.
• Analyze and document customers/prospects needs and determine how to incorporate those needs in Shipcom's suite of CATAMARAN vertical products.
• Drive primary research and requirements gathering with customers and prospects
• Define and articulate the value proposition for the CATAMARAN vertical solutions
• Ensure collaboration with Shipcom's development and operations team in the development and implementation of well defined functional specifications for the CATAMARAN suite of products.
• Build and nurture a culture of customer and market driven product development and delivery.
• Participate in setting Shipcom's company strategy and product direction

Qualifications:

Must have the following experience and proven track record of success:

• Minimum of 5 years in a senior Product Management role
• Real world experience driving the management of development and productizing of commercial software.
• Significant experience creating world class products in RFID , ADC, and Mobility Enterprise systems software companies.
• Experience in building and driving a successful Product Management team that has created profitable and relevant products.
• Significant experience across marketing including strategic marketing, corporate marketing, demand generation, and product marketing
