Lead Software Engineer/Architect
This person will be responsible for leading the initiative to implement Service Oriented Architecture in CATAMARAN using Web Services. This person will be required to not only drive development activities including design, development and testing, but will also require interfacing with management and cross company managers .

Qualified applicants will have 7+ years of experience working commercial software systems and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent.

• Develop a product in the Web Services market through all phases of the software life cycle (requirements, functional specification, design, test, support).
• Defines the functional specification of application software modules ensuring functionality, quality and ease of maintainability.
• Accurately estimates the size and scope of the development efforts as measured by the product delivery schedule.
• Maintains knowledge of product environments and applicable software technologies.
• Performs thorough problem analysis that results in resolution of product-related problems according to support standards.
• Provides input to the Technical Writers for all product documentation.
• Demonstrates leadership ability and positively leads and motivates others.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of hand-on experience in the Object Oriented Programming using C++, C#, Java etc.
• Proven track record in a lead position designing software systems; directing, planning and implementing software solutions.
• Demonstrated expertise in managing consultative and software development projects.
• Expert knowledge in web services and the standards being developed behind them. Includes knowledge of SOAP, WSDL, UDDI, and XML.
• Strong XML processing technology required with emphasis on namespaces, schemas, XSLT, XPATH, XML-DSIG, WSS technologies.
• Additional knowledge of evolving web services standards a plus. These standards include WS-Policy, WS-Discovery, WS-Security, WS-Addressing, WS-CallBack, WS-ReliableMessaging, WS-MessageData, WS-Acknowledgement, etc.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to clearly articulate product feature/function as needed for internal and external presentations.
• Proven ability to lead, inspire and motivate development team.
