Director - Pre Sales
This person will be assisting sales team in all technical and solution aspects of then sales cycle. He will report directly to the Vice President Sales and will facilitate revenue goals by providing consistent, high quality, solution and technical support and assistance as well as input on the qualification of prospects and the creation of business strategies to secure the sale.
Location: Houston (preferable)

Job duties: Responsible for all pre-sales activity for sale and support of company's RFID (radio frequency identification) and mobility applications.

• Will work with sales team to establish customer-tailored account plans and strategies;
• analyze systems and application requirements for prospective customers and create proposed solutions;
• create and deliver demonstrations, presentations and/or prototypes of customer-tailored product;
• provide on-going solution and technical support to prospective customers including training, examples programming, third-party software integration, trouble-shooting, and best-practices consulting;
• respond to solution and technical sections of RFIs and RFPs;
• convey customer product feedback to company's product management and engineering team;
• prepare and represent company at pre-sales opportunities and marketing events
• Prepare white papers and related sales collateral
• Take part in early project activities

Minimum education, training and experience

• Master's degree in Business, Computer Science, Industrial Engineering or related field;
• 3-5 years of experience in the pre-sales or consulting of real-time, large-scale enterprise application software in the areas of logistics or supply-chain management.
• Excellent oral and written communications skills
• Strong presentation skills, particularly with customers present
• Knowledge of CPG, retail, transportation, and/or pharma industry, particularly logistics and/or marketing functions
• Knowledge of RFID, Barcodes and UCC standards is desirable
